travel day! after our usual breakfast of bagels & chai tea, nicholas' roommate gave us a ride to the airport where we took off for newark, new jersey! though still a fun trip, nicholas was so engrossed in his book that the mere sound of my voice drove him crazy. naturally, i talked extra! ahhaa. i loved being able to see new york city (& the statue of liberty) as the plane descended.
and eating vegetable lo mein at the mall food court that nicholas' cousins took us to, so they could pick up popeye's fried turkey for thanksgiving day. umm, whaaat? at the house, nicholas prepared our fold-out couch bed in the basement and we watched arrested development while eating ice cream before passing out.
