the charleston friends of the library organization is having their annual BIG book sale all weekend. so this morning, i spent two hours searching through boxes and boxes of children's books in the hopes of finding some keepers for my future elementary classroom. in the end, i got 22 books for $30! two of which contained writing templates from the 80's. haha. a little outdated, but that kind of thing doesn't really change much. the rest were mostly fun, rhyming stories perfect for reading aloud or stocking the classroom literacy center. despite the chaotic crowd of eager book buyers, i'll be going back on sunday, when everything is marked down to half price! it's kind of like a treasure hunt.
