Journals are pretty (like this leather one from Barnes and Noble) & I have really nice handwriting. But it takes me a long time to write my ideas out, so typing up a blog seems like a much more effective way to document my 2010 experiences and write about who I am [who I want to be], what I do [what I want to do], and who/what inspires me.
annnd for the record, Esmerelda is the name of my Rock Band character, who I consider to be my alter ego. She has hot pink hair and a studded microphone. Creative. Outgoing. Confident. Esmerelda is the energy that I channel when I dress up and sing Paramore into my hairbrush while hair-flipping in front of the mirror. (Yes, I still do that. No, I'll never stop...)
As for myself, I'm shy. Not around my closest friends, but around people I don't know I am quiiiet. And though I'd like to be a little crazier: dye my hair pink, get a nose ring, and a small tattoo (probably of song lyrics) I am far too responsible for such things despite being in my early 20's. Plus, my future career aspiration as an elementary school teacher greatly prohibits me from drastically changing my appearance. Sigh. There's always Halloween...
