Recovery Room

Won 3 out of 4 games of Darts tonight against Nicholas! Technically, I won all 4 but I may or may not have been cheating that game...it was lots of fun!

thanksgiving

one of my favorite yearly traditions is helping my dad cook thanksgiving dinner with the macy's parade on tv. i'm always in charge of the cranberry-orange relish, pumpkin pie, and cran-apple pie (with a few jobs on the side). this year, my dad taught nicholas how to fry a turkey! i hope we'll one day be hosting thanksgiving dinner at our own house, cooking just like my dad, who will be there to help of course!

Friendsgiving

before everyone went out of town to spend time with their families, nick and his roommates (and other friends, like me!) celebrated thanksgiving with a big feast that the boys prepared, including turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, corn, veggies, stuffed mushrooms, macaroni and cheese, bread, cranberry sauce, stuffing, pumpkin pies, and 4 bottles of wine. seriously, this was the best meal ever. and in retrospect, my favorite of the three thanksgiving meals i ate.

deserted island

oh, ya know, just another day of boating and playing catch on the beach with my dad. we were the first ones out to the island, but others eventually joined us for a nice, summer day. i don't think i could live anywhere but the coast.

the provost was very...russian

congratulations to my sister, who graduated from college this month! my family visited her for the ceremony, followed by lunch and pingpong at jillians, frozen drinks at wet willies, a sisterly walk around campus, colossal pizza, coffee-vodka shots out of ice, martinis and dancing in five points, breakfast at ihop, and an out-of-the-way trip to bowman, south carolina's ufo welcome center. trips to columbia are always a a blast! love you, A
