working in a mexican restaurant means

no cinco de mayo celebrations.

unless of course you party the night before.

here are some of the highlights from

a friend's cuatro de mayo festivities

we started with some beer pong
(& never have i ever played as well as i did that night

i was carrying my teams. for real. it was awesome.)

see? this was after i made 4 in a row on my turns.

and this is when the cops were called at 8PM!

yes, that's right...

EIGHT O'CLOCK ON A TUESDAY.

the neighbors are lame. we weren't even being loud.

excuse us for playing music on an ipod. sheesh.

obviously, the cops didn't care.

there was lots of sombrero wearing...

and tequila.

and a waterbed party. bahaha.

my lovely sister came home to visit for the weekend

and we got the chance to spend an afternoon on the beach

 

look! i found a whole sand dollar. lucky day.

never have i ever been so aggresively cat-called

as when she and i were walking back to our car.

some drunken idiots were groaning and yelling things

such as "show us your tits"...

ummm. she flipped them the bird which we got quite

a chuckle out of,

but it makes you wonder why are men enabled

to act that way towards women?

disgusting.

vegetarersary

saturday was my two month anniversary

of being vegetarian.

and yes, it's going great, thank you for asking.

Memory Monday (WAP)

there was a club at the first college i attended

called the wilderness activities program

and i was madly in love with it.

we took day (&night) trips to do fun,

outdoorsy stuff like rock climbing

hiking

backpacking

skydiving

  

horseback riding, rafting

and various other things

after i transferred to cofc, one of the only things

i missed about that school was WAP.

i still think of it all the time (& the cool people i met)

and wish i could go on more trips like that

but a) it would require lots of travel and

b) i have no one to help organize/go on the trips with me

therefore, as much i love the beach and coast

i still wish charleston had more opportunities

(or was at least closer to a place)

for those kind of experiences.

i miss you!

cookout funtiiimes

after finishing 75% of my exams for the semester

i wanted to have a mini-celebration with a cookout

(and alcohol).

so nicholas and i invited friends over for burgers

mine were veggie, of course

even though britt helped cut the tomatoes

though were no burgers left for her to eat

...until the second batch finished cooking.

isn't she cute?

afterwards, we played the big taboo

with bendy bob

and i switched to peach champagne

which was delicious.

naturally, the girls won the game.

undefeated. still.
