nicholas and i tried out the chinese restaurant around the corner from his apartment, called chopsticks house. eggdropsoup, tofu & veggies with white rice. mmmm. just before the meal arrived, his friends brett and andrew met up with us, to have a beer. while storing my leftovers in the fridge, the boys had a sake bomb at sushi hiro & i freaked out over the free origami, especially the purple panda! last but not least, we watched the tuesday night football game at mellow mushroom, where i drank half of a purple haze. at 23, i stilllll haven't acquired a taste for beer.

well, after thinking i had pissed off the karmic universe on friday night (when i had five tables order guacamole lives), all was redeemed (&more) tonight when BILL MURRAY came into my restaurant and was seated in MY section! AHHHHH! yesss, he was nice and polite and all that and after dropping off his check, which my manager comped (of course), he left me 100 FREAKING DOLLARS! thankyouthankyouthankyou! BEST SHIFT EVER! AAHHHHH!

i will be telling this story for the rest of my life. hahaha.

and just for my own personal recollection and knowledge one day, here i present a list of what the group ordered:
- herradura silver tequila & oj (x2), coke, sprite, k-coke
- chips and salsa
- hatch chile fundido
- guacamole live
- stuffed jalapenos
- beef&chicken empanadas
- k-beef taco/rice/beans
- three sauce burrito/rice/beans

in the end, it was kind of funny/ironic/fateful that the five guacamole lives i had (begrudgingly) made the night before were some weird sort of practice for the one BILL MURRAY ordered! you better believe i was guacamole-live-warmed-up by that point!

  i love that nicholas' apartment is within walking distance of everything. our most recent date night included a trip to the grocery strore for chai tea and pizza ingredients, followed by movie-watching and tollhouse pie a la mode at kaminskys. note to self: blue cornmeal leads to colorful crust.

 threw my leather jacket over a favorite summer dress, with double layered tights and madden girl boots, to create what is was my favorite new outfit! you know, until it randomly decided to shrink in the dryer (despite having been washed before) to a length that is completely unwearable.
